At Xrays.Dental, managing patients is made simple and intuitive using the smart search bar at the top of your dashboard. This bar allows you to search, add, and edit patient records — all in one place.

 

🔍 Search for a Patient

 

At the top of the Patient List page, you'll see a search bar with the following fields:

• Patient ID

• First Name

• Last Name

• Phone Number

• Date of Birth (DOB)

• Gender

 

As you begin typing in any of these fields, the system automatically filters the patient list below to match your input in real time.

✅ Tip: You can search using just one field or combine multiple fields for more precise results.

 

➕ Add a New Patient

 

If the patient you’re searching for does not exist in the list, an “Add” button will appear next to the search bar.

To add a new patient:

1. Enter the patient details into the fields in the search bar.

2. Click the Add button that becomes enabled.

3. The new patient will be saved and instantly added to the patient list.

⚠️ Note: Make sure all required fields are correctly filled before clicking Add.

 

✏️ Edit an Existing Patient

 

To edit an existing patient’s information:

1. In the patient list, locate the patient you want to update.

2. Click the blue edit icon (✏️) at the end of that patient’s row.

3. The top search bar will populate with that patient’s existing details.

4. Make the necessary changes directly in the fields.

5. Confirm the update to save the changes.

🛠️ All patient data is edited in the same bar used for searching and adding.
